it is unlikely as he refused to have his huge teeth and jaw adjusted because he was worried it would spoil his voice, so i'd think anything that would affect his lungs is also a no-no

I've heard this as an urban legend as well - though this time it was Marc Almomd!

Strange because a lot oft Urban Legend's have some kind of 'moral' (not really the right word but I can't think of a better one for now) to them even if it's something silly like don't pick up hitch hikers or leave your girlfriend alone in a car when there's a homicidal maniac on the loose! But this one doesn't seem to have.
