Roy Rogers Boots

Roy Rogers rode into town and his usual dapper appearance was ruined by the fact that his boots had been ripped to shreds.
All the townsfolk commented on it and he said 'I was camping in the mountains about 5 miles away last night when a mountain lion came near to the fire and I had to throw my brand new $500 boots at him before he attacked me. When he had gone I went to get my boots and they were all cut as you can see. I couldn't kill him as I Am a conservationist but I'm sorely tempted. So anyone here who gets the lions body to me - I will give them $100'

Two local boys went straight to the muntain and killeda lion.

When they brought it back they threw the body in front of Mr Rogers and sang

'PARDON ME ROY - IS THIS THE CAT THAT CHEWED YOUR NEW BOOTS'
