I used to go regularly to the Top of the Pops recordings between 1968 and 1973. I was sometimes filmed dancing! Soooo long ago.

The audience is almost as entertaining. I only had eyes for Chip Hawkes of the Tremeloes when I was little,
Lol really Prudie? He';s in my Family Tree, my brother-in-law was close to him at one point, they were named for the same common ancestor (Leonard)
No Dotty. They didnt tell the audience anything really. You just had to mind out because they cameras swung in and out all over the place. I was going out with one of the people working on the show, so he sometimes made sure that I was featured! My claim to fame was that my face was used on top of some waves while they played Bridge Over Troubled Water, because they didnt have Simon and Garfunkel there!
When Flick Colby did the solo dance in the theatre?
Pans People were of course there every week. I spoke to Marc Bolan once, but that was at the Paris (radio) Studios as I was working for the BBC. I have lots of stories but I dont want to bore you.
