I have just caught up with an afternoon programme called Justice and one of the characters was a down and out boxer
It took me a while to recognise him but it was John Conteh - talk about a blast fom the past

Do you know if it was a one-off or just a 5 day afternoon series?

yes just 5 episodes - haven't watched the last one yet it may be that it is just a pilot and they will make more. I really enjoyed it hope that you do too albaqwerty

John Conteh was a really good actor for an ex boxer.

He's from Kirkby, his brother Mick used to work on the farm in Bickerstaffe where my Dad was the Farm Manager back in the late 1970s early 80s. Apparently a right tearaway lol

I really enjoyed it, too. Great to see John Conteh and I loved all the characters.
