Jo has/had cancer and was undergoing treatment for a long time.

i live in blackpool and joe is a local hero. He has undergone extensive treatment for throat cancer and a few times, has been told he'll never sing again. But he keeps bouncing back!
I have seen him a few times, and he asks people to shout someone out, and he 'does' them. From judy garland to sammy davis, jonny mathis or shirley, they are all incredible!
A lovely man, and i can't understand why there was never a south bank show about his life.
Don Black wrote a lovely song for him called 'if i never sing another song' It's a belter, he sings it as himself and there's not a dry eye in the house!
