The Boy From Space

Does anyone remember a story called 'The Boy From Space' ? It was featured in 'Words and pictures' programmes and shown in schools during the late seventies. It used to scare the s**t out of me !

Yes, I remember it well! It was on 'Look and Read'! There was also 'The Peregrine Falcon' I remember, I think that may have had the 'STOP! POTS!' bit in it. And there was one about a suit of armour that came to life, but I cant remember what it was called!

It is being sold on DVD on a site called www.raretv.co.uk for about 7quid-ish, free p&p - and yes it did scare the **** out of me too!

I remember it too - it terrified most of our class. If I remember correctly the boys name was Peep Peep. The one with the suit of armour was called The Dark Tower.

Cor that brings back memories, I remember those days spent sitting on the carpet at school watching them all......Geordie Racer and Badger Girl too!

Scared me too, the boy (peep peep) seemed like a good egg, but was being chased by his evil uncle or something. They had silver suits and silver faces.

Can anyone remember 'Chocky' that was a bit scarey as well.

Just bought the Chocky series on DVD.  It's way too scary for kids.  That bit at the beggining with a model of the kid's head spinning round...and that music, it's quite disturbing!

Was it The Dark Tower, or The Dark Knight?  I remember boy from space was metallic green, wasn't he?  And in the peregrine falcon one (which I think was called " The Sky something") the "POTS!" thing was the crim pretending to speak Welsh when it was really just backwards... Is that right?  There was also one, where the treasure was lost to the bottom of the sea at the end?  (Weird gold amulet thing?)  Was it Words and Pictures with Wordy?  Or Look and Read....

The boy from space was particularly haunting - all I remember was a kid in blue similar to the crew on the cartoon Ulysses 31.
Chocky's Challenge gave me nightmares for what seems like months (but was probably just a week or so).

Does anyone remember another scary kids TV programme about aliens taking over a farm community - there was a small windmill / weather vane on the side of the barn which had something to do with the aliens.
