In the context of the Muppets in their films, where they live in America, are they the only Muppets, or are there random pockets of Muppets living around America? No one is ever suprised to see them!!

Its a not very wll known fact that there are Muppet colonies living in almost every country on the Earth. Muppets pervade nearly all walks of life and play vital roles within the lives of Humans without them even realising it. Muppets are literally everywhere.
They are the species that 'rubber-neck' at accident sites, that vandalise Human properties, that purchase designer clothes and jewellery that are made in Asian sweat-shops and sold with a 500+% profit mark-up, and that wear coats made from real fur.
They think that Humans actually want to hear cr@p music in shops and elevators, that Ford and Vauxhall (GM) manufacture quality vehicles, and that politicians don't lie or avoid questions.
They put the wavy cut pickles in fast food.
They stopped the sale of foods with cancer causing agents in them, and allowed the sale of cigarettes.
Most of all, they made salt and sugar look the same.
These are just some of the roles that Muppets play in our lives.
They aren't real...and guess what - neither is santa!! :o)

You've both missed the point....

Skids.... while I agree with you on all aspects you raised, thats not what I had in mind. Vandals, politicians and 99% of all other American's can be classed as muppets of the intelectually challenged variety, for the reasons you outlined above.

Joko.... I never said they were real, I said "In the context of", meaning within the 'reality' of the film. Don't be so patronising!

My question was asked with comedy in mind, and not with a belief that muppets actually exist, or with any doubt that certain people (politicians etc) partake in Advanced Muppetry, and so are classed as muppets.

I'll lay it out more simply... By 'Muppets', I mean Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzy, Gonzo and the others. By 'In the context of', I mean within the boundaries of the film. By 'random pockets' I mean colonies, families, lone wanderers etc.

I ask again.... 'In the context of the Muppets in their films, are they the only muppets, or are there random pockets of muppets living within America?'

in the context of 'comedy in mind' I too was making a joke, hence the little :o) at the end, and the bit about santa. I know that you weren't inplying they were real or using the term muppet as a derogatory statement, otherwise i wouldn't have made the joke! kinda obvious. you are obviously taking your query far too seriously - chill!
