tweenie puppets?

I was watching the tweenies this morning (reluctantly)with my 3 year old. It was an intensely exciting episode as Judy took Bella and..............the one without the mohican to a pebbly beach. The two tweenies looked a bit strange as they were talking to Judy and eventually my husband and I realised it was because they were puppets. You only saw shots from the shoulders up OR their feet, and one hand. We wondered why? Anyone know?

I've noticed this too (by the way, the one without the mohican is Milo) and I am just as confused as you, especially as it seems Max (the old guy) and Judy are not shown in the form of glove puppets. Its been bugging me for a long time, so I would be pleased to find out the reason too.

I am guessing but the Tweenie children are played by adults and the Tweenie adults must be bigger costumes.  So when they go outside where there are people Max and Judy would look like giants so they are normal sized so the Tweenie children cant be by them or it would look wrong.  Therefore I think they use the silly puppets which dont look right.  But that is just a guess.

Apparently, my wife's cousins friend is actually Milo, so I will phone her and find out. Watch this space !

But Netty aren't they all supposed to be the same size?

no i think netty is right caus if you look at a normal episode there is a hight difference, lalso the one with the mohikan is jake milo is the purple on with black twigs on his head
