Claire's exit to France was questioned by many characters, including herself, but was a course of action reluctantly pursued because the alternative for her was almost certainly prison; Xin and Graeme's sham marriage is certainly a reckless course of action by those two characters but one they entered into naively in the expectation it would not be such a complicated business and would help Xin - who was established as a good friend of TIna - stay in Britain.
Having said all of this, I do appreciate you taking the time to express your views and the sentiments of other users of The Answerbank. We are never complacent and always take the opinions of viewers - especially the concerned and informed sentiments such as those that you included in your letter - seriously and we'll bear all those comments in mind.
Once again, thank you for your comments and for your support. I hope that you will continue to enjoy Coronation Street in the future.
Yours sincerely

Thanks Arti for troubling to write.
As discussed nothing said that we didn't already know...just going over the story lines.
You tried anyway. The John Stape business is getting just too ridiculous now, I am so bored with it. Will still watch though!!!
Thanks to all for showing your appreciation. As Mike said, just getting a reply was a result. I'm just wondering why some posters seem obsessed with the gay characters in the street.
JTH, I gathered that, I was just trying to keep my post connected to this thread. I had it all in my original thread, but it stopped when I asked him why he doesn't go on about the inordinate number of murderers etc in Corrie. He only seems to protest about gay characters. Methinks he doth protest too much, JTH ;)
Thank you JL. No, it's not a crime. I don't share your view, but just as gay people have a right to their way of life, you have a right to air your opinion.
