I remember it in late 50s or early 60s

I never saw the film but remember enjoying the book, also Green Grass of Wyoming, as a horse-mad teenager.

I remember it too. It was in black and white and I think Champion The Wonder Horse was more popular.

I din't know that it was on TV? I loved all the books - Champion the Wonder Horse was great too - and the White Horses! those were the days.

I don't remember it on TV at all, but I too loved the books, Flicka and Ken, and Nell on the ranch in the Green Grass. I think I've still got the books somewhere from the 1950s.

I read the Flicka ones to start, and then someone kindly bought me the 3rd part of Green Grass of Wyoming - and I never got round to getting the first two books - a shame.
