I have stopped watching corrie because the story lines and characters are so unbelievable now. it used to be my favourite soap but not anymore. there are no decent characters and too many unrealistic scenarios.
i wish a channel would re run the old corrie that was great!

The storyline with John was so off the scale.

I've given up on it too. It's become too ridiculous for words and I can't bear to listen to Becky's non stop screeching.
I think there's too much focus on the younger members of the cast and the humour's just about disappeared.

It used to be my favourite too. I would shut the door and not open it while Corrie was on. But I stopped ages ago when it stopped being family viewing and became very sleazy.

so im not the only one whos sick of it then! i aggree about the storylines favouring the younger members and as for john stape storyline its pathetic and now it looks like fiz is going down ah well at least it frees up 30 mins a few times a week. Bring back corrie coz this program bears no resemblence to the original!

I agree lozzer - it's barely recognisable now. I also noticed that a whole programme is occasionally given over to just a couple of characters. Don't know if they're trying to save money. The episode where Sean went to London was dire.
At least mr j's pleased he always refused to be in the room when corrie was on lol

Havent watched it ages either I still read the tv mags every weekend so I know whats going on but theres never been a story line so far to tempt me back,they did the richard hillman story so well I think they were trying to hard with the whole John Stape one I just got so bored with that and switched off,having said that I think eastenders is crap at the moment aswell.

i agree em i believe shes trying a northern accent and its no good . why they need to bring in a southerner anyway is daft because im sure there are many actors out there who would be good in the role and preferably a true northerner

Last time I watched it was when some baby was in a pram outside the pub and a lorry crashed into the pub. Could have been a few years ago.

After being a big fan for as long as I can remember I have to agree, I don't care whether I see it or not anymore. Instead of just moaning on here (lol) we should all write to the producers?

Corrie has been crap for such a long time now.
The Graeme, Xin and Tina storyline was crap, the actress who played Xin was absolutely brutal, could not act to save her life!!
As for the John Stape storyline, that just made a mockery of the whole show..Dragged on for far too long and was so beyond unbelievable it was cringeworthy to watch.
Sophie, Sian and Becky are the biggest moaning screechers on the street!!!
Oh and as for Sunitas busy-body aunts -What where the producers thinking bringing them back, it just screams desperation.
So many holes in the storylines at times..Like who was looking after Maria's baby while she was looking after Fiz's baby?? Also who was looking after Dev and Sunitas kids when they were in the Rovers with the aunts the other night?
Where have Schmichael and Eccles gone?
(My rant is nearly over..) And what the hell is the purpose of having William Roche's son in the soap..Absolutely pointless!!!

I am so glad Luther is back on BBC1...something decent to watch in the evenings :)

i dont know why producers think we want to watch kids screeching i spend all day working with kids so i dont relish the thought of watching them taking over what was once my favourite soap. im gonna do some digging around to see if i can find out how to contact producers and tell them what i think of their ridiculous storylines!

I sadly agree with all the above. Xin's acting....one of our amateur drama group members could have done much better and Sunita's aunts!!!
Loathe Michelle Collins, the storylines are rubbish but I just so love Roy and the Norris/Mary bit I can't not watch...pathetic of me!!
