ikea slatted adjustable bed
5 Answers
Has anyone bought a child's slatted adjustable bed from Ikea. It comes with three lengths for the bed. We are currently using it at the middle length for my nine year old - but the mattress is as hard as rock and |I cannot find another mattress to find the bed anywhere.
What a waste of money it was - has anyone any ideas ?

Ikea beds don't use standard mattress sizes. I bought my daughter a loft bed years ago with the intention of using the mattress she had but there were big gaps all round. On further investigatio n I discovered they have a different size so you have to buy your mattress from them or put up with the gaps.

Anywhere - been looking on line, all the shops on-line - the sizes are different, can find mattress too small and too big for the bed.
I have now realized that Ikea (online) do various mattresses to fit this bed. The one that has come with it - is so uncomfortable = its like laying on the concrete - no comfort at all. Even buying a memory foam topper didnt seem to help - maybe they like laying on concrete over in Norway/Sweden where Ikea originated from.
