I`ve been watching this mini-series on BBC and think the casting lookalikes are superb, maybe Bobby Kennedy and Frank Sinatra not so good but nearly everyone else excellent. Even the Lyndon B Johnson actor has a great resemblence.
The story is pretty close to the truth as well, a few minor embelishments but for an American made docu-drama unusually near the mark. Anyone have any opinions on it as well ?
I used to have a little bit of an obsession with JFK junior
Not seen much of the this series - caught a glimpse of Joe and Ethel (married in real life those two) Very good
Thought Bobby was good too (althought I once read there was no evidence at all to support his affair with MM)
Frank Sinartra actor was a joke though
I'm enjoying the series. Although, anything about a family as high-profile as this will be subject to 'revisionist' comment from one direction, or another.
Well it was due to be shown on the History channel in the USA and Canada, but they felt the series took too much liberty with the truth, so did not fit in with it being on a "documentary" channel like History.
I`m really enjoying it. I haven`t seen last friday`s episode yet but I recorded it. I thought Tom Wilkinson stole the show. i can`t say I`m mad on Katie Homes` acting but she looks the part.
I have been watching and enjoying it, but am a bit confused by Ric.rors comment 'caught a glimpse of Joe and Ethel (married in real life those two)' - I thought it was Bobby and Ethel in the programme - am I getting confused ?
Although I love Tom Wilkinson in it, I find his voice very Hannibal Lecter like and therefore off putting.
