I watched this series when it was first shown and had to read the subtitles throughout as it was spoken in Danish. It was farfetched to say the least but will watch tonight as it is a US version.

I've heard critics slate it but I prefer to make up my own mind therefore I'll give it a try
I'm going to give it a go too.
It's not the same show.
The Americans have 'tinkered' with it.....

It was the best thing on TV so far this year.....and possible including last year's TV, too.

Far-fetched? Absolutely not...

I don't agree with you. It was incredibly far fetched and I would be glad to hear if anyone else felt this.
How was it far-fetched?
It never is when it's been tinkered with. :(
I thought the Danish production was excellent.
Question Author
It is necessary to watch the entire thing with all its red herrings and then to remember earlier excepts to see that it was not plausible. I did enjoy it but it was impossible to really believe the outcome.
Ahhh, so it wasn't 'far-fetched' it just outstripped your attention span.

It stood up to close scrutiny very well indeed........
I think given the overall quality it was acceptable to ignore the one or two plot holes and implausible elements.
I watch a film to be entertained not to sit and find plot-holes/continuity defects etc.

There have been a few films that have been tinkered with (don't ask me, I can't tell you) some have been slightly improved on and some have should have been down the gutter
Question Author
I will discuss this after this series ends (if you like)as it would spoil it for anyone viewing it for the first time. This will only apply if the US version sticks to the same story line.
It doesn't........
Me too Jack. The only reason a couple stick with me is down to the length of the thing and constantly having to think back to refresh my memory of certain things.
I've heard that too jack

Why tinker with summat when it could be good or better??

(Not suggesting you personally tinker with it y'know)
Question Author
OK. But if you remember the first programme on the Danish version and all the details surrounding the "killing" it does not tally with who was disclosed as the eventual perpetrator. And my attention span was good as it needed to be with sub titles.
That sounded crud, don't tinker with it is what I meant
Although, to be fair, we had accused, cleared, re-accused and cleared *everyone* so many times that 'whomever' was exposed as the murder/ess I would have been willing to accept it! :o)
?????????

Of course it did. I think you must have missed something.
Jeg taler danske og det syntes jeg var noget sludder
