Is there a way you can ask your recorder to record something in advance when it wont list things for over a week on the TV Listings?

I want to series link X factor but the listings guide wont go that far! (20th Aug)

No.

TV stations don't provide listings for more than 7 days in advance, so there can be no EPG more than 7 days so you can link it.
...but you can Remote Record while away.

You could ask someone (family/friend) to come round and sky+ it for you while you're away.

Thanks guys. All my family are away the same time, so can't ask anyone else. Will try the remote recorder :0)
I got the Remoterecord app & it's pretty good. It even lets you find out when progs will be repeated so you can avoid clashes.
If you have a Sky box, can't you just use the series link on it?
@islasmum - programmes for the evening of Saturday 20th do not appear on the Sky EPG until the afternoon of Saturday 13th. I believe Pinkypie is away from tomorrow, Friday 12th.
You can set a manual recording if you know the channel and the time, even if it's more than 7 days away.
