If you don't think that was one of the finest pieces of television for years, you deserve all the reality crap that passes for entertainment these days. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you didn't see it.

..yes I must agree with you there smorodina..breathtaking...and made in wales too...just like lil old me...
I presume you are talking about Dr Who, if so then yes it
is without doubt the finest uk program shown on tv for many years, everything about it just says quality, the production, the effects and the storys so far, I didn't think I would like Billy Piper in it, but she is fine, and Christoper Eccleston is a fantastic actor anyway, I am worried that he will disappear b4 the next series is made he must be gagging to get to hollywood . I think Dr who is going to be REALLY big in the near future, wathc out for the sandwich boxes, toys, cakes, etc etc etc etc etc... Long live Dr Who...
I agree, I really enjoyed it too, excellent perfomances! From another Walian ..south.

Absolutely brilliant.

Unfortunately, Joules, Chris has already announced he's leaving. He was good though, wasn't he? The last few years of the old Dr Who had some rotten actors and scripts that used techno-babble in place of plot. This series seems to have the balance between 'sci-fi' and story that doesn't alienate the casual viewer about right. And it doesn't look like it was made on a shoestring.
i've been recording doctor who so far and i finally caught up yesterday and i have to say i can't see what the fuss is all about.

my dad has been praising it, saying it's getting better by the episode, but i found the first one dull, the second one worse and i couldn't even bring myself to watch the third one!

i thought the acting was poor (even from christopher ecclestone, who's usually pretty good), the plots are very slow moving and uninteresting and some of the special effects were laughable!

while i'm by no means a star trek fan, you have to admire the highly impressive special effects and make-up they've been producing for a number of years now and i was very disappointed to see the BBCs attempt - a load of people dressed as mannequins walking round like a bunch of 50s B-movie zombies!

sorry to everyone who's really enjoying the series, but i couldn't really find any redeeming qualities.

(unless i'm missing something!)
