i am a bit like this...not as bad as this woman though.
I dont keep old food or store garbage and broken junk etc like some do but unfortunately i am one of the few people who can genuinely say 'that might be useful one day' and actually mean it - because of my job... i work in films and tv and most of the stuff i keep is for props and sets and costume etc...so it does in fact eventually all get used...
if i didnt do this for a job, i would happily bin a massive proportion of it - i have no sentimental or hoarding feelings about any of it, for any other reason than it saves me a lot of time and money in the long run...and even makes me money, as i can charge for the hire of things.
right now i have had a problem searching around for an empty brandy bottle...we have no budget left to buy one, so need an empty and ive spent about 2 hours now searching...only the other day my boyfriend threw a load of empties out...and i knew it would be sods law that i would need them...it has happened so many times that as soon as i bin something i get a script in which i need it and have to spend hours looking for anohter, which is very frustrating.
my main problem is i am naturally untidy and that doesnt help...if i was tidy and could get it all boxed and catalogued on shelves etc...there would not be an issue...as i have 2 prop and art rooms.
i regularly bin stuff and give loads to charity too
i am not the only one in my family like this either...my dad, my grandad and uncle is too, and maybe others im unaware of...
i can walk around my house easily though, its nowhere near like hers...
