Watching TV last night I noticed that Channel 4 had an advertisement for the new series of Big Brother, which is now on channel 5.

I know it used to be on 4 but it's odd for one channel to advertise a programme on a different channel.

Does C4 still have some connection with BB or with C5?

It may be that FIVE have booked advertising time on Channel 4. There is a difference between an advert and a trailer. Sky and Virgin advertise on other channels.

Big Brother is most likely made for FIVE by Endemol, the same company that made the programme for Channel 4, they own the rights to the show.
Correct Tony it's still an Endemol production
ooooooooooooooooh!!! Pammy Anderson,Jedward,Bercow"s missus
Kerry Katona"s mum - a veritable"galaxy of Stars" - erm..I"m off
to the Pub!!
Sally Bercow - as if Jedwards aren't enough of a reason to switch off, that trollop certainly is. What an embarrassment.

OK, so Endemol have paid C4 a wadge of money to advertise the programme. I get it.

I've seen Sky and Virgin advertising their services on terestrial channels, just not actual shows. Oh wait, maybe I have actually.
Looks like I may be the only one looking forward to it then ??

Well I can't really say I'm looking forward to it but I'm pretty sure I'll end up watching it.
Channel 5, not Endemol, have paid for the commercials on other commercial channels. Endemol have no need to advertise since they already have a 2-year contract with five which will see them receive £200 million even if no-one watches the show.
its not pammy anderson, it the pamela who married the hoff. she was also in baywatch tho'
