Having a rather drunken conversation last night, we got talking about films, really well known films especially from our childhood/growing up years (we're all in our 40's) and it amazed me the "classics" some of them hadn't seen. Mr Boo for example hasn't seen Grease! I mean how is that possible??
Over to you, what "classic" films haven't you seen?
Yes there's thousands upon thousands of films ive not seen either Chris ;-)
What I'm getting at, probably not very well, are films, especially films which were stonkers during your teens etc, have somehow passed you by for whatever reason.
I've never seen Apocalypse Now either. Ooooh, what's that one Spielberg did? Something about aliens (not ET!), I can't think of the name now... Anyway, I've not seen that either.
gulp - no sorry, they just didn't appeal Boo- love Indiana Jones though - and all the Mummy ones with Brenden Fraser (plus George of the jungle - not exactly a classic but I loved it)
I remember everyone raved/still rave about it being a classic but I think I have seen the first couple of minutes and found itboring, maybe it got better afterwards?
Doctor Zhivago. first attempt at the Empire, Leicester Sq - fell asleep, six more attempts followed - fell asleep, think it must have been all that snow, and I so like Omar Sharif.
We go to the cinema quite regularly now, but I've never seen Star Wars or any of those, ET, Gone With the Wind, Citizen Cane - Terminator, any of the Rocky films, The Third Man or the 39 Steps, Murder on the Orient Express, or Hound of the Baskervilles. I could go on!
