I was in the middle of typing a post when I saw (in the 'Latest Posts' box) that you'd replied to my questions.
What I was about to suggest has been confirmed by your answer. Your sister hasn't got a Freesat box. She's simply got a generic FTA ('Free to Air') satellite receiver.
ANY satellite receiver (even an old Sky one, with an expired card in it - or possibly no card at all) is capable of receiving all of these channels:

Your sister's box is an example of a generic FTA receiver.
Freesat boxes have this logo on them:

It's only those boxes which can receive the Freesat EPG, interactive services and the BBC iPlayer..
