What is the worst TV ending of a series that' you've sat patiently watching waiting for an explanation but were (duped) by the disappointing ending that was such a cop-out?
Two from me were 'Lost' and 'the Event'

Blake's 7.
i lost the plot entirely on Heroes, and there was quite a good drama a few months ago, sorry title escapes me, but it led up to what should have been the grand finale, and then it just went pffft. Really disappointing when that happens.
Question Author
'Heroes' was another for me aswell???????
I haven't seen the Lost finale........but The Event was certainly a non-event.....Flashforward was similar.
I felt a bit let down by the ending of The Sopranos although it's hard to hold a grudge as the whole series was excellent.
.....and Heroes, too.
Five Days, that was it, with David Morrissey, an actor i like, but it was a total non event
Flashforward, another blow out.
Question Author
I never saw Blake 7, but do know that they all got shot in the finale?
Question Author
I gave up on 'flashforward about 5 episodes in... it thought it was better than it was
A relative who knows about this stuff told me that series like Lost, The Event, Flashforward and the like were conceived with the sole intention of selling advertising time for as long as the public would watch and there was never a planned end.
There was a cartoon called the pirates of darkwater on when I was a kid; as I recall, it seemed to finish on a cliff hanger and then never came back on which I stil think was a crying shame, I was enjoying it.
crossroads.......
Question Author
douglas9401, I can quite easily believe that. With the yanks adverts every twenty seconds or something. However they were some good story lines plots and obviously the story arc... shame that they do that.

Awe, bless. China doll

what's crossroads ;-)

Another one for me was 'now and again' which only ran for one season. open ended ending grrr.

Twin peaks went very downhill after they revealed who the murderer was about half way through. What's worse is when you don't actually see the end. For example, i used to watch lost in space ans land of the giants on channel 4 on a sunday and never found out if either was resolved. I also used to love maharbarat on a saturday but i'm not sure that actually EVER had an ending!
Question Author
Yeah Johnny got them from my brother via erm... USB

Far too many loose ends which made the finale such a cop out.
Question Author
Twin peaks I always left when the tune started, lost in space now I recall seeing that on a Sunday as well. 'danger Will Robinson' so I agree did they ever end?
I religiously followed a program called "October Road". I loved it.............it was cancelled before a resolution.

Bless the cast/production team, because they did a short 15 minute finish for die hard fans (youtube). It was a bit rubbish, but it wound things up.
whats ''crossroads''?????...it was a classic soap set in a midlands hotel..well ''classic'' is a bit of an overstatement but it was a midlands institytion shown at 6.30 on atv [i think] lol...
