I'm in the last two weeks of my notice period and lost ALL motivation
21 Answers
I'm usually a very proactive worker, but now I cannot be bothered to do ANYTHING. I've finished all of the handover documents for my replacement and my boss isn't in so I've been watching episodes on the Internet for most of today.
I dont know how I'm going to take another 2 weeks of this!

I've caught up with 90210, Jeremy Kyle, Big Brother, Americas next top model all last week!
I could offer to help, but again I can't find the motivation to be helpful!
Don't worry, I wont get in trouble for watching anything. Unlike my last place you are able to get on to any website; not the smartest move. I should really get my brain in to gear but its so much easier to sit here and mulch!

Depends if you have been made redundant Mcvj - If so I know how you feel. I used to be the receptionist at a very large multi-national company, working for an agency. When my agency put its yearly tender in someone undercut them and the job went to another agency which left me gutted as I'd worked at the company (both agency and as a permanent employee for 34 years!) They had the cheek to ask me to train up a new receptionist in my last 2 weeks, which I refused, they couldn't understand why I didn't want to do this! I had support from all the office managers who thought my redundancy was grossly unfair and even organised a petition for me to stay but to no avail - it was purely a cost-cutting exercise. During my years there, I had compiled a huge book of notes I had written on every job and computer system we used, and I'm not ashamed to say that I took all my notes home with me when I left, I just wasn't going to be extra helpful to my lucky successor after the way I'd been treated! BTW I took the company to an employment tribunal ....and won! Only a few months pay .... but I didn't do it for the money just to teach them that we are actually humans with feelings!
No, not redundant I'm relocating back to Wales where I'm from.
I do NOT blame you, Anne. That's brilliant stuff, especially taking that folder with you! I bet they were relying on that too. My company expected a Management Accountant to come in to the office after being made redundant to teach up his (much cheaper) replacement. Beggars belief!
