Gerald McBoingBoing

Does anyone remember this cartoon? I remember as a kid being well impressed by the boy who only spoke in 'boings' or 'tweets' who ended up leading an orchestra and proving his doubting parents wrong. Everyone else thinks I'm making it up but I found some pics on google and he did exist!!! Am I the only person in the UK that remembers him? Tell me Gerald didn't 'boing' in vain....!

Gerald McBoing-Boing was adapted from a short story by Dr Seuss (hence the rhyming). and 4 cartoons were produced.
