 Fools and Horses - although Britian does make very good comedy shows.

It has to be Fawlty Towers without a doubt Kenny Everetts Video show was always great and the Fast Show

Has to be Blackadder, Series 4. The very last episode is absolutely staggering.

(The award for the most underrated comedy series of all time would have to go to Brass - one of my all-time favourites but never appears in lists like this.)

I also think the Vatican Conclave should have made Peter Kay pope, but that's another thread...

We've had most british comedies here usually on the ABC and some of the commercial stations take various shows as well Since the advent of cable we've got UK tv which has some good some bad and even Corrie and Eastenders.
A very minor staion brought us Shameless this year which I'd nominate but it's not really a comedy. I've just watched Nighty Night which I like but how dark is that show. was it a hit there?
