im making a film for university and we need to provide copyright proof of the music we use. how can we get permission to use songs in our film, for example we use dry your eyes mate by the streeets, how do we go about getting permission to use this?

Check out the copyright on the CD and write to them/ phone them for permission. You will have to pay a fee, but I think it is different for private projects. I'm having the same difficulty on my MA course, it bothers me that our tutors don't tell us about this first!
