Was there a story line a few years back where cupcakes containing a drug were eaten at a party and the likes of Emily Nugent get quite happy and merry, if so who made them?
Thanks

I've always thought Norris might be a secret toker. Not sure if it was him, though.
I thought her new age nephew Spider was involved , but that maybe stereotyping.
Eastenders did a similar thing too quite a few years back with Dot.

Emily Bishop (née Nugent, previously Swain) is a longstanding Coronation Street ... An active member of the community, Emily has long been engaged in ...... when she ate one of Vera Duckworth's hash cakes at a church fund-raising meeting. ...
Happened to me in real life at a hippie wedding, I ate some "weeding cake", high as a kite for a while!!!!
I thought the cannabis cakes were in Emmerdale. Wasn't it Edna's sister (Madge from Neighbours) who made them?
Sounds like all 3 of the major soaps have covered this item then, but they always do copy storylines don't they?
Can you eat cannabis? And would it have the same effect as smoking it? Might it not poison you? After all it is the inhalation of the smoke that is the drug - or so I believe. Never tried it, mind, but know people who have. Even chewing tobacco, I think just gets chewed, not swallowed. I could be wrong, so if anyone knows different I would like to find out.
The Corrie one was the best. It was hilarious. Rita, Emily, Norris and Roy.
Believe me Starbuckone, I was high as a kite and leapt into a cactus bush, I don't normally do drugs, so yes it works as well.
last cake i had don't remember much about it, last time they had a spliff in the pub i had some
grabbed the handle in the back of a black cab tight, he seemed to be driving up ashton new road at 90 everything seem to be moving very fast :)

i was glad when my journey ended
The funniest variation on this theme (in my opinion) was in Frasier when Niles thought he had eaten a drugged muffin and acted accordingly and his father Martin had actually eaten the muffin and didn't have a clue what was going on.
It was a classic even by Frasier high standards.
