Church Quiz - still looking at comics and characters from the 40, 50s and 60s - "this comic family involved three birds and a person - but the person is a bird". Any ideas?

Is there asny other clues like the number of letters & any letters if known ?

Thanks for response - the only clue is four words,5,4,5,5 ( such as Girls from Outer Space, which is not relevant that I can see). The question revolves around comics and comic book characters from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Hoping you can help.
