If they've sacked Adrian Chiles, why is he still presenting it this morning? He looks far more awkward than usual today, and hardly surprising. Christine not in today - I wonder if she can't face it anymore. I'm hoping they'll replace her with the fabulous Anna Williamson but she seems to have been usurped in recent weeks by the comparatively dull Sam Mann whoever she is. Your thoughts?

They are still on the Daybreak web site.
I believe the Daily Mirror had it as it headline recently, but we have had no official word from Daybreak.
Anyway I believe the Daily Mirror said "phased out" over the next few weeks rather than sacked right now.
Maybe they will go, but just because the Mirror has it as their headline does not make it true.

The concensus is that both are being sacked, but not until the New Year.
The information has leaked to the press, and AC is very unhappy - although looking at him on TV at any time, how on earth would you be able to tell???
You have to wonder about the thought processes that went into poaching them from the BBC for mega-money - neither of them have proved suitable, which as far as Childs was concerned, was pretty obvious. The man has no personality, a doleful face, a boring Brumie accent, a so-called 'dry' sense of humour, for which read, no humour, and a way of squinting at the camera that suggests he needs specs.
CB's accent is too strong, her looks are distractingly exaggerated and angular, she appears vacuous for serious items, and over-enthusiastic for frivolous items, and the two of them do not gel in the slightest, lawd knows what this 'chemistry' was supposed to be about.
It was only a matter of time before this car-crash TV was stopped - let's hope they think more carefully next time.
I ay get Vaughan and Snowdon on, at least they interact convincingly.

it could be Natasha Kerplunk with "Chubby" Holmes http://www.guardian.c...kaplinsky-tipped-host
They were both on there this morning, I switched over to it when Toyal Wilcox happened to be on, (I have never watched it before by the way cos of the Bleakley) anyway the lovely Toyah was twittering away and they hardly showed you Bleakley and Chiles. Bleakley kept saying Mmm, Mmm, Yes, what a riveting conversationalist ... Quite obvious ITV cant wait to get rid. Dont blame them either.
There wil be this buttock-clenching period where Chiles and Bleakley turn up and attempt to do their job, knowing that everyone - studio people, viewers, press, know that they are being fired for beng usless, but because both are still employed by the corporation, they can't storm off in a hissy fit, they have to grit their teeth ( a frightening thought in her case!) and just get on with it.
It's a salutory lesson for everyone concerned - it doesn't matter how fabulous the powers-that-be think you are, viewer power still rules, because no viewers means no advetising, and that means no money.
