Why do politicians evade answering a direct question or counter it with another question? Do they go to some college to learn how to gobbledy-*** people!?
This happens regularly on the TV. WF8MAN
A lad we knew 'did' politics at uni, before he went he spoke perfectly normal, after a while he seemed as if he was talking in short sentences. He said that was how they were taught to speak to keep peoples attention.
That is exactly what they do. Once they're accepted onto a party's list of approved candidates, they start attending all manner of courses all designed to stop them going off the party line.
I think that in the next election one of the Parties should use the slogan
"We will give a straight answer to a straight question" you are correct ,we are grown ups ,if we do not like the answers then we should never have asked the questions ,If we do not know the answer we will find out .I think that this should be run on "Face Book" and I am positive there would be huge support
