Should the '' Big Man'' on the train be prosecuted for assault?

My opinion that he was right and stopped the delay for hundreds of passengers trying to get home to their family's.

I don't think he should be prosecuted but I don't think the situation was handled properly either; the lad said he was sold the wrong ticket and was only trying to get back on the train to get his bag which had personal items; including diabetes medication in; if it was an elderly gentlemen he wouldn't have been handled in such a manner.
think this man should be cautioned for some kind of assualt

This was debated long and hard a few days ago.
The bottom line is whether we want a society where kids being obnoxious are assaulted by any random stranger who happens to be bigger and stronger than them.
Perhaps the people supporting the 'Big Man' would be happy if at some point in the future they are ever in a verbal dispute with some company representative they are likely to have matters curtailed by someone bigger and stronger than them who decides they can butt in and assault them.

Absolutely he should, otherwise it's a carte blanche for bad tempered people to take the law into their own hands simply because they're being inconvenienced by somone else's bad behaviour. Two wrongs do not make a right and the so called 'big man' needs dealing with every bit as effectively as the alleged fare dodger. You can't just assault people because the fancy takes you that you are in the right.
