iPad 2- FaceTime unavailable and unable to receive iMessages from my sons

Hi, I have an iPad2 and got some iPod touches for my sons. We are using the same accounts for iTunes but have given them different email addresses for new apple ids to use for iMessage and FaceTime.
They are able to iMessage each other and other people and use FaceTime but are unable to iMessage my ipad2 and when FaceTime me it says i am unavailable.

I can FaceTime and imessage them and other friends.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
