sequels that were better then the first ?

It's not exactly a film sequel, but I always thought the TV series of M.A.S.H. was better than the film (which was brilliant).

I agree with Aliens. Different type of story to the original which was brill but I enjoyed this more. it ended there though.

I personally enjoyed the prequels more than the original ones (which I also like). Technically not a sequel but they were made after the originals.

Right... I will no longer be taken seriously in the film section. I understand this but I've made my choice ;0)

I'll go with the fanatics and state The Empire Strikes Back is better than the original. The original was a rollercoaster ride but Empire had a better storyline and more depth.

The dialogue still sucks on many occasions thou ... ;-)

Mad Max 2. The original was cheap and a bit nasty, the sequel was stunning.
