So I once was a facebookaholic, I spent many a day on facebook, posting trivial and stupid status's, on the hour, every hour. Everyone who knew me knew I was an addict. Come new year I made a resolution to stop this terrible posting and letting the whole world know my personal business. Now, I proudly inform, my addiction? Has stopped. Since new year I have not posted a single status and only had the occasional nose at my feed from time to time. Now that I have take a step back into reality and away from my screen/phone I have realised how utter rubbish the whole thing is altogether. Im greatly considering deleting my facebook completely. I know some like this site and others do not so I ask for you guys to give me the pros and cons of deleting my account. Right now im sitting on the fence.

As I've said elsewhere before, I still fail to see the desire and attraction of posting every picture possible of myself from the age of 6 years old, holiday, birthday and office party snaps, pictures of my car or how the extension is coming along on my house, nor feeling the need to let people know what sort of mood I'm in or what my 'status' is or the need to 'poke'...

I have a Facebook account and find it useful to use occasionally, but I think the last time I signed in was a few weeks/ maybe months ago. I'm quite a private person so never went much fr status updates divulging my activities etc. My opinion is about Facebook much as it is about anythng else, in moderation it's fine, otherwsie leave it the hell alone.

I certainly don't want all my friends and colleagues to know (almost hourly) what my current activity is or that I'm posting merrily on FB that I'm going to the Trafford Centre whilst off sick!
But that's just me.

I don't use it any more. It was good for keeping in touch with daughter at Uni, and other friends, but it now seems to be spreading its tentacles throughout the net - click on the innocent little "like" logo, and it's in.
It's turned from a useful site into an information grabbing empire - not for me, thanks.
