Gosh time for digging out those extra thermals according to the forecast but big question - will they be right? :)

theyve forecast 3 inches of snow...no doubt the whole country will grind to a halt...

Hope it avoids scotland for a change x

They are scaremongering again - just looked at the Met Office forecast in our area East Mids - its just light snow on Sat night...........how do these weather forecasters earn their huge salaries, they obviously don't have to meet targets like the rest of us!
lol craft....lets not go down that road shall we????...or shall we??? lol....

Maybe its just the Daily Mail yet again!
I heard too there was going to be 3 to 4 inches on Sunday, My grandaughters can't wait. I bought them posh sledges for xmas & this is what they're waiting for, Wheeeeeeeeeee----

jem
As always ....I'll believe it when I see it!
no snow for us here in South Wales!.......Oh!.........hope not!......
I`m not sure about how accurate the prediction is but I certainly got a laugh looking at Roger, Trumpington, UK`s comment underneath the article on that link.
@ann86 "how do these weather forecasters earn their huge salaries, they obviously don't have to meet targets like the rest of us!"

....you are kidding aren't you?? Our forecasters earn between £22K and £36K, in this day and age that's not a huge amount of money Bus and Train drivers earn over £30 min!!
Its chilly just now but i have a little "hot water bottle" he also doubles as my pet dog pablo lol- hes taking up the whole bed- funny how he manages to do so when hes actually pretty small! X
That should say £30k for bus and train drivers.......

3 inches is enough for the scaremongers at the Daily Mail to cause widespread panic but in reality is very little and the snow events should pass through quickly...maybe it'll stop councils and government whining about all the salt grit they stockpiled... At least they quote a forecaster rather than some pointless blogger!!
This is the Daily Mail's standard of weather forecasts.....

Just started snowing here in Leicestershire! :)

Weather forecasters earn between £22k - £36K? thats not a lot according to slapshot - goodness me, I must have missed something, its 3 times as much as me and my husband earnt before we retired.
Maybe so Ann86 but in 2012 it's not a "Huge Salary".

My son has recently graduated and his basic is only a £3.5k less than mine and I've been working constanltly for 25 years since I graduated, no point comparing salary from different generations, only depresses you!
I just happened to be playing this. It seemed quite relevant to this post (for some reason the end is chopped off!)
