does anyone else find 80 and 90's films set in the future 20, 30 years on amusing? Watching the island set in 2019 and cant see it being anything like it is shown. I know there are lots of gadgets about but things in the home havnt changed too much since the 90s

When I watched it, the idea of someone instantly being able to speak (face-to-face) with another person on the other side of the world was utterly fantastic. A youngster who has just come off Skype might not be quite so enthralled as I was!
What I'd really like to see, though, is a compilation programme of all the predictions which were made on 'Tomorrow's World', just to see which ones came true and which ones were wildly inaccurate. In particular, I remember being told that "by the year 2000 we will all live in a paperless society". I must remember that when I next renew my benefits claim ;-)
