Yes you're right. Taking the p out of someone who has learning difficulties isn't something to get worked up about. I'll go have a pint and forget about it.

Lol, just seen what you all were laughing at (besides my grammar and the video)
Zacs i hope this is a lesson in life, be careful when YOU'RE trying to be funny.
Sweet sweet karma.
Leave him alone For Funks Sake , he admitted he knew nothing about ...er geography ;0)
Lb, Plymouth.............ho ho ho
Question Author
Really i didn't know he had learning difficulties, have you got a link or proof?
Why would the tv executives risk public outrage and a possible lawsuit by putting someone with learning difficulties on one of the hardest quiz shows on tv to be ridiculed? Why would they do that zacs?
Weakest Link, one of the hardest quiz shows on TV, since when??????
Question Author
Well for Brian obviously.
I like Brian. He may not be the sharpest tool in the box but he seems like a very sweet guy :o)
Ok I admit I don't have any proof that he has learning difficulties but there's no denying that the whole crux of the 'humour' in your link relies on Brian's lower than average general knowledge. Sorry but I just don't find that funny. Lovely pint BTW.
Making fun of someone who is uneducated - which is not the same as stupid, or indeed stupidest is very easy ... but not very nice.
Question Author
Of course you couldn't find any proof as it doesn't exist, unlike you i tend to do research before posting claims on the internet.
The humour was in him not listening to the question and giving the answer he did.
Had this been anyone else it still would be funny.
Learn to take jokes for what they are and not let the fact that you had a bad day, week or maybe just don't have a sense of humour taint it.
Andyhughes, he's an internet columnist for Heat magazine, where do you people get your sources from or do you make claims up and hope no one rumbles you? Again please do research on these claims before posting.
Being an internet columnist for Heat - and I would bet a year's chocolate that it's ghost-written for him - and being uneducated are far from being mutually exclusive. My point is entirely valid - the clip you highlighted underlines a lack of education, which you made fun of, and that is not nice.

No 'source' needed for that.
He knows he's not the smartest but doesn't mind cashing in on the fact. If he cared about people laughing at him he wouldn't put himself through it.

"the clip you highlighted underlines a lack of education, which you made fun of, and that is not nice"

Not at all, it highlights someone not listening to a question and giving an answer to a completely different question.

I can assure you and the other genius that i am someone who stands up for any form of disability or psychiatric problem and their rights and have always been this way so will you two stop trying to paint me as a monster and trying to make a mountain out of a non existent molehill?
Maybe you and zacs should meet up for a relaxing refreshing pint and try and chill more.
The point is it wasn't someone else. It was someone who was clearly at a disadvantage on the general knowledge front and to answer your previous point about why would the TV companies risk being criticised, the answer is because people like yourself cannot make the subtle distinction between something being humorous and something being offensive and so it gets large viewing figures. Were supposed to be a more enlightened society than the people who went to watch 'freak' shows, which this is just an extension of.
Bless him, I love Brian Belo!
please watch the whole clip and see just how stupid brian is. and how 'celebrity' rewards idiots like this overpaid and overrated jobs that others with a modicum of talent could perhaps do. he hasn't got learning difficulties...he's from deepest, darkest essex - and belongs on that towie monstrosity with all the others for being that stupid. i despair for young people in britain, i really do....they have idiots like this everywhere to try and avoid.
I'm not painting you as a 'monster' Mk22 - I merely pointed out that your amusment at Brian's inability to understand a question was not particularly amusing, and seemed rather unpleasant.

You are the one still defending yourself with comments about being seen as a monster - if you are not comfortable with the observation you have made, and are still arguing on a 36-points-and-counting thread, then that suggests that any montain-building is being comleted by yourself.

The salent feature of the AB is that you can say anything to anyone about anything - but be prepared - and able - to back it up.
lcg76, agree 100%
