Brian Blessed and his daughter on Celebrity Pointless, he must be the most pointless celebrity, loud noisy unfunny, his daughter looked liked Nurse Emmanuel from Open All Hours.
I agree with your sentiments Mary T. In the course of my work I have met hundreds of celebrities (and many thousands of people probably) and one`s opinion can only be formed from what we see on the surface. I`m sure Brian Blessed is a nice guy (one of my colleagues climbed Everest with him). I met the cameraman from that expedition too and he had good things to say...
.. and he used to live up the road from me and does a lovely line in rescuing animals in distress. He's a top bloke, so go and find something nicer to do than *** everyone else off Mary T, so you never say anything nice about anyone?
I enjoyed the programme even though I only caught the last fifteen minutes or so. And I did know Queen Victoria's given name - Alexandrina! I've got to brag about something!!!
I love Brian Blessed, he lives near me and I'd often see him on the train or in the supermarket. I sooo wanted to talk to him just to hear his voice. I really must look into whether he's done any talking books.
Though with that voice what other career could he have had other than an actor.... can you imagine getting a phone call from him trying to sell you double glazing :)
If there are any old episodes of Z Cars lying around, he didn't always revel in the voice so much; he and Colin Welland and the rest were quite naturalistic. But it's become his trademark since then.
FoxLee, according to Wiki "He has an honorary position as official Shoutsperson of the University of York's Douglas Adams Society, and in 2011 the University's student body voted to name a new study space as the 'Brian Blessed Centre for Quiet Study'"
nox, I do say nice things about people I like maybe if I lived nearby to Brian and know him like you do I could form an opinion, I only see him on TV as loud
and overacting. I take offence at your accusations that I don't say nice things about people, everyone has an opinion.
