Michelle is my guess - and she'll have taken the contract as well!
Whoever it is will be an actor who is shortly leaving the show. I have not heard of any of the other "suspects" leaving, so at the moment my money is on Gwen Taylor as I don't think she has made a long-term commitment to the series.
I reckon it'll be that one he was carrying on with. No, not Sally Webster, the other one who advised Carla to sell her share of the factory to him. My guess is she was hiding somewhere when he had the altercation with Carla on the stairs and admitted raping her. Then when Carla left, she came out of her hiding place and confronted Frank about the confession. A struggle ensued, Frank fell down the stairs, smashing his skull on the floor... What d'ya think?
I think you could be right bravejordy...she crossed my mind too.
I thought the actor playing Peter is leaving
I doubt its him though

clever thinking , Brave jordy....but no doubt they will have us on the edge of our seats, loosing sleep, and weight......till all is revealed!
My set-top box TV guide has synopsis for an episode next week saying, "Carla is stunned by Michelle's confession". My guess is that she stole the contract but is not the killer.
On another tack, the storyline about Dennis Tanner finding a job was rather silly. When the show started in 1960 he played an 18 year old, which makes him now 70 and will be getting the state pension. Philip Lowrie is actually older than that.
Peter has an alibi!!

Didnt carla visit after michelle- and its carlas bottle that "killed him" so that means michelle is ruled out!?

The mum i half thought it was here- i think she has been acting well though :) x
Still think it's his Mum.
what a load off old madam
Tinker, the whisky bottle with the blood on could be someone trying to frame Carla, so I'm sticking with my theory that it's Frank's fancy woman.

I thought the bottle was found in the skip?
Oh dear,I thought t"Tram"d crashed off t"Viaduct,wiping them all out,int"Rovers...!..or was it just a Dream?..ahhhhh! ;o)
Who is Frank? Who is Michelle? never watch the rubbish
That was another silly contrived scene. Jason (Mensa reject) just happens to complain about people throwing rubbish into his skip.

"Hello, what's this? (Pulls out whisky bottle) "That looks like blood, better tell the police".
I agree Mike, as typical in a whodunnit there probably are a lot of red herrings thrown in for good measure. The bottle found by Jason may or may not be a red herring. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

headwreck: The bottle the police have doesn't necessarily have to be the same one Frank pulled out of Carla's bag when he was looking for a recorder. Frank's bit on the side/Carla's so-called friend, during her meetings with Carla etc, had ample opportunities to get hold of a bottle with her prints all over. Dip bottle into Frank's blood and Voila! One murder weapon and suspect!
I would love to see a guest appearance by David Suchet (aka Hercule Poirot) who will exercise ze little grey cells and solve ze murder juste comme ça!
If it was a Poirot investigation we'd probably find they all did it...
