Anyone watch this last night? What did you think of the midwife that was so unbelievably over the top at being nice?

I had two of them, midwives I mean. One was the really really nice, and almost apologetic about telling me what to do, the other was a bit of a harridan. Mr Boo says that I took no notice of the nice one at all and concentrated on the bullying one- lol.
So perhaps its one of the few situations where "being nice" doesn't work!

Ahhh I thought it a bit but she was well meaning bless her though I'm not sure how I'd be with her if I was in a lot of pain trying to push the equivalent of a basketball through my bits. She seems like the lovely sort though and some people must like the more sympathetic fluffy side, she looks like the kind who'd go and grab you a nice cuppa or whatever to make you feel better (well, betterish?), maybe especially for people in on their own or really young or scared etc...
Saying that, can't see it works when you see them trying to control the birth with pushing and problems and such though where the more direct approach seems to work better.
Having not had children myself I have no idea really :)
