They have always had a sparky relationship.
Ashley used to (and probably still does) blame Sandy because he *helped* his mother end her life when she became very ill.

I think that is still under the surface, somewhere...

ashley has taken his house keys, restricted his money, so what is next, i don't like this at all. There may be a history between them, but you wouldn't treat a dog like that, let alone your dad.

Exactly em10..surely laurel would of noticed something before now..i think ashley needs to get found out soon as it's horrible to view even if it is just soapland..

perhaps because of the cases you read about of abuse of the elderly, so not something we haven't heard of, or known about. But it makes for uncomfortable watching, i wonder if the actor who plays Ashley finds it difficult to play..

I would say so, i know he can be moody at times over the whole laurel and marlon thing but it's gotten so much more dark the past while that i would say he does.

I don't like it at all - I hate the way they "change" characters in soaps. Ashley used to be lovely, now he is a bully and so evil........ it's yet another slur on people who go to church I'm afraid. They have changed Rachel too, she was so common and really awful when she joined the soap, now she is an angel in disguise :)

Do you think the actor who plays Sandy wants to retire, so they are building this story up for him to go .........I hope Ashley doesn't murder him, its so far fetched! Laurel's character used to be such good fun, quite dozy but amusing - its all so serious with her now, they have changed her too but not for the better.

sometimes elderly parents can be abused in this way!.......very sad!....they would never admit to it!.........their alternative is a care home!......
