After a rubbish secopnd series of Downton Abbey, Julian Fellowes has achieved the impossible: he's made Titanic boring! I thought the re-make of Upstairs Downstairs (not by him, of course) disappointing, but this is truly awful...so far.
Didn't get past halfway of the first installment because it was soooo boring. I won't be watching the rest. What with that and the equally boring upstairs downstairs on BBC at the same time, Sunday night terrestrial TV is enough to make you want an early night.
I didn't like the film - too much hype and wasn't in the least bit interested in the tv series (although I am a huge Downton fan). I prefer things with a happy ending - nothing like that for the Titanic.
The reason there is so much 'Titanic' at the moment is because it's a hundred years next month since it sank.
It looks like it's going to be one of those going back and forth as I call them.
So the following weeks will be showing what happened before they boarded the ship.
I prefer a beginning a middle and an end and not all this toing and froing.
