Yes. I remarked on it to Mr LL who completely agreed. Dreadful voice. So had the girl who was sacked last night. Two dreadful women in my opinion.

Where in Lancashire is she from? Some of the accents up here are really thick (Bolton, Blackburn for example), but others are not too bad.

It wasn't just her accent Daffy, it was her accent combined with what is a really awful tone to her voice. The two together were just dreadful. I don't know where she came from.

She sounds like a Chorley lass to me from the interview clip I just watched. She does have a really nasal tone to her voice though and it makes you want to shout at her to STFU! (Google that if you don't know what it means ;] )

It was Maria's purple eye make up that I wanted to wipe off - and the dress Maria wore to the follow up show on BBC 2, looked as if she had been wrapped up in sheets.

That's what I thought about her dress too Lottie. Her makeup was better but then she let it all down by wearing that.

Really grated on my nerves, I was hoping Lord S would fire her. Sorry for being accentist ( If there is such a word) but I think she'll be out soon Lord S wont want to work side by side with that voice.,

True - and she crumpled me through my TV set, I think I'd pass out if she smiled at me in real life!!!

I don't think it's anything to to with the accent - she's just got a tone of voice that like nails going down a blackboard.

With that voice she would hardly be a good business assett. Tend to agree Ludwig that it was more the tone than the accent, but the accent added to it.

It was extremelly aggressive sounding too. She needs to get some help with it if she wants to get anywhere. She will just turn people off.
