There's Something About Geri

Hi all, I've just watched the documentary on 5 about Geri Halliwell. I know I'm sad, but there was nothing else on t.v. I fancied watching.

Was it just me or did she come across as being quite spoilt and in her own words all, me me me. She went on about relationships alot, and that when she is in one, it's got to be about just her........how selfish is that. No wonder she can't find a fella, as one of her ex's said, some time ago, she's too demanding. I just think she is so insecure, and I think that came across in the doc. At the end of the day this programme was all about promoting her album (don't know why, because she couldn't even sell tickets for her concerts). I felt quite sorry for her at the end of the programme, and saw her ending up like Agnetha (the blonde one out of ABBA), not sure if that's how you spell her name, living as a recluse on some little island.

I don't disagree with anything you've said, but bear in mind that for someone of limited or no talent, she's made a hell of a lot of money.

I agree too.  She was child-like.... I just think she enjoys being in the spot light and if she doesn't get it then she kicks up a fuss.

LOL - good luck then, londondave. If she happens to venture on to this site, we'll put in a good word for you. Personally, and you can call me ungallant if you like, a phrase involving the words "10-foot bargepole" springs to mind, but each to their own. :-)

To be fair, i think some of the time she was saying 'me, me, me' was meant to be tounge in cheek.  But do agree she came across a bit strangely.  I find her laugh quite manic.

Also, the overall thing that struck me is that she just can't sing. I don't dislike her at all, and i think when she's being normal, has a good personality and i can see her doing something like presenting.  But the woman can not sing.

I didn't watch but imagine every sentance she said began with 'I'.

I think she makes a camera crew follow her all through her day and her job is not being a singer but being 'Geri' as she can make more money this way.

I never really had an oppinion on Geri Halliwell before I watched her documentary, but afterwards, oh my god, what a spoilt little woman she is! It did not do her any justice and if anything, I should imagine lost her more fans than gained. It proved she can't sing live (not that I had any doubts about that anyway) and that she's such a big 'STAR' she's exempt from picking up 'Harry Poo' when the little sh*t bag left a parcel..."ooh I forgot my poop bag".
I dont know why the documentary annoyed me so much to be honest with maybe cos she's loaded for being such tw*t lol.
