I am friends on Facebook with a girl I went to school with. Quite regularly she posts about what an arse her boyfriend and father to her third child is. Well she topped it this morning by posting pictures of the result of his night out last night. These included one pic of a carpet covered in vomit (which had also covered her hair dryer and straighteners) and where he'd been for a wee but completely missed the toilet and it was all over the floor.

She declared she would be leaving it for him to clear up (fair enough maybe) but that would mean her kids weren't able to use the toilet.

Firstly, if your other half was like that why on earth would you share it with the rest of the world and if that's a regular occurrence (which it appears to be in her case) why the hell would you stay with someone like that and have your kids living amongst it all. She's only been with him a little over a year. What is wrong with people? Shall I post the number for Jeremy Kyle on her page.

Oh how horrible. Some people eh!
Who in their right mind posts pictures of vomit and urine on FB?
I would be a little bit peed off if those photos came up on my feed!
Definitely JK culture. Actually I think it's desperately sad that people think this is amusing and worthy of telling the world. What a low-life.
One of the reasons amongst many more that I don't do facebook.
If she puts up with that sort of behaviour then maybe they deserve each other.
Posting that on FB is pure bad taste

It makes me sad for her kids. Maybe he is wonderful in another way but she certainly doesn't want to let anybody know about his good side.

I just don't get why you'd post that. She wasn't laughing about it, she was obviously very angry but even so, the picture were unnessecary. I guess she's trying to embarrass him but she also embarrassing herself.

Thankfully my other facebook friends are not quite so....well.....chavvy.
Why on earth would she put the photos on Facebook?? I can understand her taking pics to show him directly but on FB? Doesnt sound like the child is very old if they have only been together for just over a year
I just can not understand young girls today, I may be getting on a bit but, why the hell do you girls put up with the crap that young blokes give you? even my daughter was with one @rsole that was as much use as a chocolate teapot, you have your own mind, even if there is a child in the house, make the decision, either kick the knob head out start again, have you not got any morals?

The baby is just under a year I think and she has two boys who are about 6 and 8.

I really don't know why you'd be with someone like that. If there life really is as she posts on Facebook it must be miserable for those kids sometimes. She seems to have close friends and family and I know what my family would be telling me to do in that position.

Not sure I'll ever get why you'd make it such public knowledge.
You know the answer, she LOVES HIM!! It seems the worse men act, the more the girls love them, must be a jungle thing from when we were apes or something.
Parents do get drunk. Me and OH were just talking about my Uncle who used to get jelly legged drunk, he was hilarious. I think the problem is the frequency. It only happened with my Uncle now and then...

It's not just posting pictures on facebook I'd frown at....I would never post anything personal either. People are losing the ability to talk to each other. They post on FB saying what a Snag their partners are (men as well) and get 'that's so bad hunxxx' type replies. Then they seem to think that they are somehow justified in their own behaviour.

Nonsense...talk to people in real life. Tell them the real story...and let them tell you you are just as bad.
Not you Evian, obviously :-)
I find it really strange some of the things people post on Facebook, it's like they have no shame whatsoever. Some things should be kept private.

Of course not me Ummmm, Im the perfect specimen of a human ;)

Yeah, totally parents get drunk. No probs with that. But yes, the frequency is an issue and getting so bladdered you Fosters on the floor and vom on the carpet, repeatedly. I do think there's an element of attention seeking and I'm probably guilty of that myself but generally no more than moaning about the dentist. Not sharing the horrendous habits of my bf who doesn't know his limits all for people to say, 'oh poor you, aren't you wonderful dealing with that'. Well, I don't think you're wonderful love, I think you're a moron for putting up with it and letting your kids see that.

There, got that off my chest.
She needs to be careful - if her page isn't kept private and is open to public viewing, the social workers may jump at the chance to investigate.
I think Facebook is killing social contact

(despite claiming to be a "social" network).

I've got pals who would always let their hair down at a party, dancing, singing, etc.

Now, as soon as you're tempted to sing or dance, you see someone with their iPhone out, and you think ... "Uh oh, I'll be on their Facebook page tomorrow" ... and so you rein it in.

Good time over.

And, annoyingly, the person with the iPhone is usually someone's teenage kid.
These included one pic of a carpet covered in vomit (which had also covered her hair dryer and straighteners)

Her hairdryer and straighteners are kept on the carpet ?
says it all ....
oh god (rushes upstairs to tidy away hairdrier and tongs)
I quite like people like that, open books with nothing to hide.
Thankfully my other facebook friends are not quite so....well.....chavvy

Phew - seem to have got away with that one then ;=)
