Got Graham Norton for an hour this morning - very entertaining except for that woman who is usually on his Saturday show (name escapes me), I felt she was booming at me! Before Graham it was (instead of the Feltz) Nicki Chapman. I wasn't aware that she was a radio person. Another one on the BBC's very long list of 'contract presenters' like Aled Jones and Chris Hollins and of course Julia Bradbury! Nicki Chapman was actually presenting on the Chelsea Flower Show last year - or the year before - you'd have thought the BBC could have found someone a bit more qualified or was it because these 'presenters' are cheap and can smile, talk and walk at the same time. It seems that these days all presenters and reporters have to start walking and talking as soon as the cameras roll. Drives Mr Q mad!!!

Radio 3 for me today. Can't understand the point of this rather ludicrous stunt. And how much has it cost to send Ken Bruce and no doubt many others to The Orkneys? Pointless.
I only caught a bit on the way to work - which was Tony Blackburn and Mark Radcliffe in Blackburn. I do miss Radcliffe and Maconie! i enjoyed mark's gentle teasing of Tony, which as always, he took in good part, he really is a national treasure with an earned reputation instead of johnnny-come-latelies like Susan Boyle!

What has SuBo done to offend you Andy? I'm sure she's never said a bad thing about you.
Wogan's on now........the genius returns!!!!
I cannot see the point of this swap around day, seems to be a mixture of an elite club and the last day of term.
Susan Boyle (I cannot do with the shortening of people's names to make them sound all cute and fun - especially when it's Samantha Cameron) has done nothing to ofend me.

I simply made the comparison that she has apeared on a TV talent show a couple of years ago and is viewed as some sort of national institution whereas Tony Blackburn has been a national insititution for over forty years.
vulcan42, I thnk you've caught the mood and described it well. Everybody out of synch and their comfort zones.
I listened up to the shrill and uninterruptable Ms Feltz then moved to an audio book.
If Jeremy Vine's going walkabout then dead air is preferable to Vanessa.
Question Author
Dead air is also preferable to Anneka Rice on Saturdays mornings and at any time when Steve Wright is on. Also Johnny Walker and Richard Allinson (on a roll, here). Lisa Tarbuck is on later - now I don't mind her even though she isn't someone you'd normally have presenting a radio show, like Paul O'Grady who is brilliant. I love his rants and moans at Malcolm! Great stuff.
