I've just been looking through some photo's on FB of the Chelsea Flower show and am seriously wishing I'd made more (any) effort to get tickets. Some of the gardens and displays in the floral tent are absolutely stunning.
If you are going I hope you have a lovely day and the weather is kind to you.
It does look exceptional this year......some of the major garden designs are stunning - that one based on the Pre-Raphaelites is amazing - it looks as if the big trees have been there for years - and some of those hedges.....how do you put those in inside 3 weeks........
While I'm amazed at the construction of some of these gardens, watching Alan Titchmarsh at the moment I think some of the arty farty 'inspirations' and 'messages' for the gardens claptrap. I'd love to go mind you.
Do you mean the technolgy one (Q something) - cold and ugly. None of those shown tonight have any actual flowers, just stone and greenery and the now obligatory water feature.
I'd really like to go but I imagine it would be expensive for us staying overnight in London and entrance fees to the show. The nearest we get is the Southport Flower Show which includes Bowling tournament. My OH won the tournament one year, and the ticket price allowed the entry to the Flower Show. Not sure that this still applies now but it's worth a visit.
