I fully expect to get pelted with rotten tomatoes for this, but this Jubilee vconcert is packed with artists well past their sell-by date who can no longer cut it live: Elton John, Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Stevie Wonder, Shirley Bassey...even Rolf Harris. What do you REALLY think?

I love Elton John, amazing performer. I thought Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey were great. Often so much more talent there than some of the younger ones who are used to being able to perform with auto-tuning and clever tricks and mime a lot of their live performances (I'm not talking about tonight, I mean generally) and rely on a massive flashy stage show in addition to their performance.

I agree some are past their prime, but the idea was to have acts from past years of the Queens reign.Paul Mc cartneys voice is definately going, as mine is at the same age.

Not watched the concert as none of these acts interest me, and I wouldn't want to see any of them live. If I'd liked the line up, then my own anti-royal feelings wouldn't have stopped me, I enjoy watching live music :c)

elderly people, singing live in a street.....no problem, yeah the sound wasn't perfect but these people are legends. No technology to cover their faux pas. Very few of todays artistes will be around in ten, twenty plus years time. Maybe the last time anyone will see a line up like that. A fabulous atmospheric night, apart from Lenny Henry, Miranda and Peter Kay!!!

They were there to give a great line-up of stars over the years, not a top notch performance. I didn't see them all but you can't say Tom Jones wasn't as good as he always was.

The presenters were indeed dire and I found Lenny Henry particularly unfunny, awkward and embarrassing.

Ok flip one rotton tomato coming your way. I suppose the old line-up was because they are the artistes that she has heard of and met before. Maybe she would have enjoyed to Adele, but some of the newbies may have been a bit confusing. After all it is her Jubilee. Imho Tom Jones is not one of my favourites, and Cliff looks as though he's straining himself.

Sorry, I don't agree, flipnflap, mind you, I'm biased having been a fan of Elton's since 1972. I haven't watched the whole concert yet (but I did record it), so I can't comment on the other performers but old Elt' proved he can still get the crowd rocking and singing along. OK, at 65, his voice may not sound the same as it used to, but give the guy a break... He's a legend!
