Sky v Virgin

We are thinking of changing from a Sky Package, ie phone, broadband and TV over to Virgin for same sort of package. At the moment we also pay for a BT landline, would this be necessary for the Virgin package, or because it is cable, would this not be needed?

If it's virgin cable then no, you don't need a BT phone line at all.
