You wake up with suspected flu, call the doc, and within an hour, there he is at your door. If only!

what annoy's me when they are having tea or coffee on these soap's the cup's are alway's empty
I have lived in the streets of the north west all my 67 years and I have never seen a street with a pub, bistro, nicker factory, 2 shops, taxi firm, cafe, kebab shop, is the builders yard still there? betting shop, 2 up 2 down terraced houses that can fit about 6 people in each house, oh and I almost forgot a hair saloon, have I missed anything out? all this in a street that looks about 100 yards long, Corrie is so unlike real life but I still watch it , sad or what?
But aren't they well cast! You could easily believe they were mother and daughter, whilst each looks their age, if you see what I mean.
I live in a village that has all that over about 5 streets, plus a co-op, one thing corrie has never had is a funeral home, (Roy Hudd was a funeral director though i think) we have 2 funeral homes in this village, plus, where is the legion or the con club?
It amazes me that all of them are too busy to watch Coronation Street or Eastenders!!!!
Is your pub called The Green Barn dotty?
no we have several pubs, the springy, the herring, oak tree, allison, wheatshief, printers, hinds head, wagon and horses, lol, it's a big village!
magicmick did you work in horwich
Not quite sure where the Legion is but it's not too far away as Jack Duckworth would often go there for darts or dominoes. Don't know about a Con club, though; party politics is the one thing which is never raised in Corrie.
dotty, don't you remember the Viaduct St Social Club? And the Community Centre that Percy was employed as caretaker?
the community centre was the old mission ena looked after wasn't it?
don't mention Horwich, the wicked witch lives there and she's evil! (chorley old road up from the baths)
Sorry dotty I got guessed wrong village, yours must be the cow yed one, I did work a short while in Horwich pugthe dog but nearly all in BL
It was! Ena lives on :)
magicmick for some reason i thought you may be from howfen
Ena was caretaker of the Glad Tidings Mission Hall. Leonard Swindley was her line manager (when he wasn't busy trying to get into Emily Nugent's knickers).
