i watched wallander last night bbc1 9pm....i could only watch the first few minutes . was so shocked to see the opening start with a man encouraging the geese, ducks etc to feed while pouring petrol around their feet then setting them alight....how wicked...there are enough sick people in this world without giving them ideas.....also it was the beginning of school holidays most kids are still up .......and to see this would have been horrible...it even showed you the birds alight screaming then flying away....i know the birds were not harmed in any way ...but really is this necessary.....it just really played onmy mind...

T and T .... I think they are ways this kind of behaviour could be implied if so essential to the plot - no need for graphic scenes of this kind of attack at all ............ and I also know we all have the ability to switch off if offended - but this is about giving people violent ideas - and you are quite right - enough nutters out there without helping them increase their repertoire!
boxtop i did not see the woman get burned i turned over as saw as i saw the birds..to be truthful i do understands there are dead bodies horrible deaths in these programs i just think in this day and age just seeing the bodies then the detective....doctor or who ever explain what has happened, like they do in frost..lewis etc....the part that worried me was how these things can be shown on tv and watched by the wrong kind of people
